The first week of fantasy football is in the books, and it was a wild one. Multiple top players going down, and rookies shining in their debuts. For fantasy, you either are feeling confident after week 1, or you’re potentially getting worried if it’s going to be one of those seasons. Some lineup advice incoming for the second week of the year.

START ‘EM

QB Jameis Winston (vs Bears): I’m really to see if this offense can be unleashed like some of the experts are predicting. The Bears didn’t play too bad against the defending NFC champions last week, however, they allowed some big plays through the air, including an 88 yard TD. With Desean Jackson, Mike Evans, Cameron Brate and a solid pass-catcher out of the backfield in Jacquizz Rodgers, expect a solid game from Jameis.

RB Ty Montgomery (@ Falcons): Getting 19 carries against the Seattle defense shows that the Packers are all in on Ty carrying the ground game. The Falcons were gashed through the run by the Bears’ Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen this past week, anticipate the same.

WR Larry Fitzgerald (vs Colts): I’m hitting the panic button on the Cardinals after week 1. Who I’m not hitting the panic button on though, is Larry Fitz. He had a serviceable game last week, and was targeted a team-high thirteen times last Sunday. With the Cards’ limited options, I like his chances of 6+ catches and a TD against a porous Colts defense.

TE Coby Fleener (vs Patriots): The Patriots were destroyed by Alex Smith last Thursday. Fleener is definitely seeing more targets with the absence of WR Willie Snead and is no doubt a TE that can be comfortably started this week.

SIT ‘EM

QB Dak Prescott (@ Broncos): Going to play at Mile High is a tough proposition. Prescott had an “eh” game against the Giants, but did what he had to do to get the win. However, that defense and fanbase will be bumping. I wouldn’t consider him a starter for this week.

RB Carlos Hyde (@ Seahawks): Hyde was very average last week, and only was a solid start if you were in a PPR league. Going on the road to see the “12th man” and anticipating the 49ers to be down in the game, don’t expect a monster game from Hyde.

WR TY Hilton (@ Cardinals): This Andrew Luck injury sucks for everyone. TY should be a low WR1/high WR2 with a healthy Luck, but with Jacoby Brissett/Scott Tolzien, he’s maybe a flex option. Oh yeah, and he will be matching up against Patrick Peterson all day.

TE Hunter Henry (vs Dolphins): This guy was going pretty early in drafts and laid an egg last week, playing just 22 snaps the entire game! Don’t get cute and throw him in the lineup this week.
