Robert Griffin III will be the likely starter for the Cleveland Browns this season as he is receiving the bulk of the reps with the first-team offense. Griffin III has a huge opportunity to rejuvenate his career with the Browns after multiple disappointing and unhealthy seasons since his electric rookie year.
Griffin III will not be working with the best skill players in Cleveland, but will be able to work with two Baylor Bears in Corey Coleman and Josh Gordon. When Gordon returns to the field these two will form a very fast and athletic tandem that can help stretch the field for Griffin III.
Griffin III is looking forward to this next opportunity in his career to prove he belongs in this league as a starting quarterback. “It’s all about consistency in this league and having consistent fundamentals, consistent drops on all those things and I really harped on that and focused on that to make sure every time I take a three-step drop, it looks the same; every time I take a five, it looks the same,” Griffin III said.
New head coach Hue Jackson is looking to provide some excitement for Browns fans and he is known for his work with developing quarterbacks. Of all the quarterback options this offseason Jackson felt that Griffin III is the best fit for his style of quarterbacks. It is on Griffin III to prove his coach made the right decision.
Griffin III does have some talent to work with in Cleveland and Jackson has been apart of many productive offenses. Browns fans should have some optimum on Griffin III as its quarterback and he will be eager to show everyone he is still a playmaking quarterback.
