The Los Angeles Galaxy need to start preparing for the challenges to come. They have been enjoying a nice six game winning streak since Robbie Keane has returned. Four straight in league play and two in the U.S. Open. However, need to prepare for the storm that is soon to come.
They’ll have a relatively easy game against the Seattle Sounders on Sunday which should be no problem for the Galaxy. Bruce Arena will not feel anxious about having to rest Giovani dos Santos and Jelle Van Damme after their MLS All-Star game against Arsenal.
It would even make sense to put some of the younger and inexperienced players on the field to give them some first time experience. Because, after the game against the Sounders, the Galaxy will have some tough weeks ahead of them.
They will play against the New York Red Bulls, FC Dallas and the Colorado Rapids before going to New York to play New York City F.C. Within a four week period, the Galaxy will player the number one and two teams in both the Western and Eastern Conference.
What can help the Galaxy is that three of those matches are in the Stub Hub Center in front of a home crowd, and the Galaxy typically know how to play at home.
These next few weeks has the potential to change the league table dramatically, and if the Galaxy can prepare themselves, they might just find themselves at the top.
