The Pittsburgh Steelers’ players are “running” themselves into trouble, and the season hasn’t even started yet.

According to Will Graves of the Associated Press, Steelers’ running backs, Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount, are reportedly facing charges of marijuana possession, after a traffic officer noticed smoke coming from their car at 1:30 p.m, Wednesday.

Bell was taken to the hospital for a blood test to determine a possible DUI charge.

Police reported that all three people involved – Bell, Blount, and a female passenger – claimed possession, and that there was 20 grams of marijuana recovered from the vehicle.

Both of the crimes violated are considered misdemeanors, but the league could reign down a possible suspension, should they each be charged.

The team has been informed of the situation, however, they’re still in the process of retrieving all the details.
